Garlic Pizza

Last night, Bill and I went up the canyons to Snowbird. I can't remember the last time I drove up the canyons. How sad. But I have to say I enjoyed it emensly. Every month, Bill's sisters and husbands and me and Christell make it a point to go to dinner. This month, Christell offered to let us share her condo time-share at Snowbird for the evening so we bought pizza and made the beautiful trek to sit around the fire and enjoy the mountain view. It was relaxing. I didn't realize how much I missed the mountains - the actual smell and the cool air...the sun going down with the top of the mountain kissed with that last bit of sunlight before being enveloped in rich darkness and the sweet sound of nothing but nature. Then came the smell of GARLIC PIZZA! My favorite! I don't know if it was the cool night or the fact that I was hungry, but I snarffed down two large pieces! The company was great, the conversation was stimulating and the food was yummy! But time passes all too quickly and it was over as fast as it had begun.

There were not as many sights coming down the dark mountain road until we saw the city lights appear and then a smile crossed my face as I thought about my sister Cathy. When we were small, Dad used to drive us along Wasatch Drive. It wasn't a freeway then and you could see much more of the city lights than you can see now. Once when we were driving and looking over the city, Cathy looked over the many lights dotting the horizon and claimed them as her own. "Look," she said, "Cathy's Christmas!" It has always been and will always be "Cathy's Christmas" to me.

Well, another long day at work. I ordered specialized fortune cookies for my Awareness Day event. The fortunes say things like: 'You would not share your toothbrush...don't share your password," and 'If things smell phishy, don't get hooked.' I am hoping things go well for this thing. I think I have an ulcer.

That's my thoughts for today. Love to all!
