I Love My House!

The big news around here has been the snow! It seems like every day is another storm. But that's really okay with me. I have a secret love for snowy days. I don't like the cold, but I really love a good snowy day. In fact, right now, another storm is blowing in and I couldn't be happier! I took a couple of pictures this morning of my house (I love my house!) and I wanted you to see what I see when I leave to go to work...if it's not dark. :o) Although I don't see my car because I am in it! HeeHee. We have a really good neighbor who has been helping us snow-blow our walks. I don't know what we would have done without him and his son this year. I guess Bill and I would be snowed-in!

Here is an "artsy" picture I took.

Oh, and Bill and I had a creature adventure the other night. We were getting ready for bed and got all tucked in and then heard a noise outside our window. Because of the storms, we thought it was the wind and didn't think too much about it. Then we heard it again and it was louder and stranger than just a wind noise. We looked at each other and curiosity got the best of me and I went to the window and pulled up the blind and to my fright (and Bill's) was a BIG hairy creature sitting on the window sill. Those of you that know our house, know that our window sill is not close to the ground. To see a BIG hairy creature caught me by complete surprise as well as catching the animal by surprise to see me staring at it. It immediately left the window sill without us actually seeing what it was - and how, I still don't really know (because there were no footprints in the snow down around the house). Bill and I pondered for some time on what the animal (or creature) might have been. We thought it might have been a cat but the signs didn't point in that direction. We then concluded it must have been a raccoon! It probably climbed the brick to get to the window to get warm. It then scurried the brick to the fence at the side of the house to get down. It is still a puzzle but it was a smile moment! I love my window sill this winter. It seems to be bringing all sorts of surprises.
